2 inch TFT LCD Module (ST7789V, 240*320, SPI, SD)

This 2.0″ TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) display module is built with ST7789V driver IC, which offers 240×320 pixels, true RGB dot-matrix resolution and IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology panel , thus providing wide viewing angles and vivid colors.

The ST7789V has an internal frame memory (1,382,400 x 18-bit) and can display up to 262,144 colors. The module communicates via a 4-wire SPI interface , which can be easily integrated with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, etc. The display operates at a voltage of 3.3 V (a level shifter is required for a 5V system!).

Its physical dimensions are approximately 60 × 36 × 3.5 mm , with an active display area of approximately 30.6 × 40.8 mm, which translates to a pixel pitch of ~0.1275 mm and a pixel size of ~0.1175 mm. The estimated contrast ratio, brightness, and viewing angle are typically at a high level for the TFT‑IPS category.

The module comes with an SD card slot , which allows easy loading of bitmap files via FAT16/FAT32 file system. Arduino libraries (Adafruit GFX / ST7789) or ESPHome component are also available for the driver IC for quick integration.

Operating principle, components, system level

The ST7789V is a universal TFT controller, providing pixel addressing and frame buffer management. The microcontroller sends display commands and data format via CLK , MOSI , CS and D/C signals, the RESET signal (optional) resets the driver. The backlight can be controlled via PWM signals (BL pin).
