THE COLONIAL NORTH-EAST : ESSAYS ON THE COLONIAL INDIAN NORTH-EAST WITH EMPHASIS ON THE STATE OF TRIPURA BY DIPANKAR CHAKRABARTI [HARDCOVER]

North-East India is a land of lush green virginity with rich biodiversity and unique blend of people, culteure and tradition. Though rich in natural and human resources it has remained economically backward and politically turbulent, even after decades of Independence. Thirteen essays presented in this collection cover a wide range of variety. Though a majority of the essays are related to the pinpointed area, a good number of essays related to the Indian North-East and related issues are also incorporated.
