THE BUDDHA AT WAR : PEACEFUL HEART, COURAGEOUS ACTION IN TROUBLED TIMES BY ROBERT SACHS (PAPERBACK)

The concept of “The Buddha at War” explores the complex relationship between Buddhist teachings and the realities of conflict and violence, often presented as a paradox, as Buddhism is traditionally associated with peace and non-violence. Buddhism is often associated with pacifism, the belief that war and violence are unjustifiable and that all disputes should be settled peacefully. However, throughout history, there have been instances of Buddhists engaging in warfare, and some Buddhist traditions even include figures or concepts that appear to be associated with war or conflict.
