MODERN POETRY OF IRAN BY AZIZ MAHDI (HARDCOVER) OLD BOOK

Modern Poetry of Iran is an anthology of more than eighty-five acclaimed works of renowned Iranian poets. The book comprises Persian poems, carefully selected and translated into English by Aziz Mahdi, a Persian scholar from India.
This collection gives powerful insights into Iranian society. While reading the poems, there is a strong sense that instead of the poets writing the poems, it’s poetry that is writing their lives. From God and nature to love and sorrow; from indulgence and denial to the subconscious and the abstract; these poems touch upon the various aspects of human existence and emotions.
These poems are bound to make you yearn for more…Poetry is a mirror which makes beautiful that which is distorted. —P.B. Shelley.
