THE CRAFTING OF REALITY : SUDHIR PATWARDHAN (DRAWINGS) BY RANJIT HOSKOTE (HARDCOVER)

To Patwardhan, drawing is as important a form as painting and sculpture are. He has practised it, as an autonomous interest and as preparation for paintings, throughout his career. In The Crafting of Reality, Ranjit Hoskote presents an archive of over three decades of Patwardhan’s drawings in various media, including graphite, charcoal, pastel, and ink and wash. Hoskote engages Patwardhan in a lively and substantial conversation, and provides an illuminating introductory essay.
